100 percent of Northern's ADN 2024 Graduates Pass Nursing Licensure Exam For the second year in a row, graduates of the Northern New Mexico College (NNMC) Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program had a 100-percent pass rate of the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) licensure exam on their first try.
NNMC welcomes new Regents Ron Lovato and Dolores Gurule Northern New Mexico College (NNMC) is pleased to announce the appointment of two new Board of Regents members, Ron Lovato and Dolores Gurule, and the reappointment of Vice-Chair Erica Rita Velarde. All three were confirmed by the New Mexico State Senate on February 10, 2024, following a hearing and confirmation by the Senate Rules Committee.
Española Gloveworks Featured on KRQE for Innovative Parkinson’s Research Española Gloveworks, a collaboration between Northern New Mexico College’s Engineering program and Española Valley High School’s MESA (Math, Engineering, Science Achievement) program, was featured on KRQE News 13 on March 31, 2026. Reporter Natasha Lynn visited the EVHS campus to interview NNMC Associate Professor Steve Cox and students involved in the project. Española Gloveworks is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that grew out of the Parkinson’s Glove Project, an initiative launched three years ago to develop wearable technology that helps reduce symptoms of Parkinson’s disease.
Northern HEP students meet Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham Students and graduates of Northern New Mexico College’s (NNMC) High School Equivalency Program (HEP) met face-to-face with Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, cabinet secretaries, and other elected officials during Española Day at the Roundhouse Wednesday, March 15, 2022. NNMC Joins New Mexico Open Educational Resources Consortium to Expand Textbook Affordability The New Mexico Open Educational Resources (NMOER) Consortium is proud to announce that Northern New Mexico College (NNMC) has officially joined as its fourth member. As part of this new partnership, NNMC has been awarded a $6,000 grant to promote the use of Open Educational Resources (OER) on its campus, further strengthening the state’s commitment to college affordability. The consortium works to replace traditional, high-cost textbooks with openly licensed materials that are free for students to use, share, and keep.
