Occupational Safety

NNMC is required to furnish a workplace which is free from recognized hazards which may cause or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm. This includes, but is not limited to, compliance with all occupational health and safety codes and regulations (29 Code of Federal Regulations 1910 and 1926). This health and safety responsibility is commensurate with a person’s operational responsibilities and rests at all levels, from the highest administrative person to the individual employee.

Safety is recognizing, evaluating and controlling hazards and managing the associated information and programs in order to prevent harm to people, property and the environment. Environmental, Health and Safety has developed a number of OSHA-required, written programs that provide management guidance and outline the minimum requirements for achieving compliance with occupational safety regulations.
