The proper handling and disposal of chemicals and other hazardous materials are important for the protection of faculty, staff and student health as well as the environment. Local, state and federal government enforce strict regulations to ensure compliance in handling hazardous materials and hazardous waste. NNMC has developed written programs that provide guidance and resources to achieve compliance with applicable regulations.

Northern offers over 50 bachelor's, associate and certificate programs in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math); Nursing and Health Sciences; Liberal Arts and Humanities; Arts, Film & Media; Business Administration; Teacher Education and Technical Trades.
