It is a priority for the college’s STEM disciplines, but research options are also available in humanities, psychology and criminal justice, including on-campus positions, paid summer fellowships and internships with Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) or local businesses. Aug 22, 2024 Celebrating first Darrin’s Place Wildland Fire Fighting course grads Northern New Mexico College’s Adult Education and Continuing Education programs are branching out, bringing opportunities for obtaining practical skills into the broader community. This summer, Adult Ed teamed up with Darrin’s Place to bring its Wildland Firefighting program to the rehab center’s residents. Twenty students successfully completed the course and obtained their Wildland Firefighting certificates.

Northern New Mexico College (NNMC) recently hosted a highly successful New Student Orientation, welcoming approximately 170 new students to its vibrant campus.
