Farm hosts Garlic Festival Northern New Mexico College invites our friends and neighbors to the Northern New Mexico Garlic Festival and Farm Truck and Tractor Show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2026, at ¡Sostenga! Farm. This free event will bring together farmers, families, youth, elders, community members, vendors, musicians, educators and land-based leaders for a day celebrating garlic, traditional agriculture, community resilience, food, culture and the living acequia and farming traditions of Northern New Mexico.

Jun 17, 2026 Pueblo Alliance LLC Honored as SBA Rural Small Business of the Year Northern New Mexico College (NNMC) is pleased to announce that Ron Lovato, President of Pueblo Alliance LLC and CEO of TSAY Corp., has been honored as New Mexico’s Rural Owned Small Business of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) during National Small Business Week. Lovato sits on Northern’s Board of Regents and is a business client of the Small Business Development Center at NNMC.
May 27, 2026 NNMC Team North places 1st in regional Global Scaling Challenge Northern New Mexico College (NNMC) earned 1st place in the New Mexico Regional Global Scaling Challenge, sponsored by the University of New Mexico Anderson School of Management on March 6, 2026. Team North – with the support of mentor Dr. Robert (Bob) Tierney – delivered a compelling presentation that impressed judges with its strategic thinking, analysis, teamwork and scaling recommendations for Mesa Quantum, a company pioneering quantum sensors that provide resilience against GPS disruptions.
