Work Study Positions Available

Work Study is a financial aid program that allows students to work on-campus or with approved off-campus employers to earn money to help pay for college. Work-Study is not automatically included in a student's financial aid package; Financial Aid will need to determine if you are eligible.

Please note the following positions listed below are currently available for Fall 2021 award year. You must have been awarded work study to apply for a position.

Job Title: Office Assistant

Description:

Applicant will be assisting staff in a variety of office procedures. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and have excellent customer service skills. Knowledge of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and experience working on a computer and multi-line phone system is a plus.

Duties include: Answering phones, assisting students at the counter with basic questions and financial aid information. May scan forms and enter them into the computer.

Minimum qualifications:

Must be awarded FEDERAL Work study through Northern’s Financial Aid Office.

Description:

Students must be reliable and able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Duties include: Customer service, maintain approachability, and try to greet whomever walks in. (Be friendly and aware of what's going on around you). Maintain and watch the front desk by assisting patrons with NNMC library services. Maintain the Library environment (quietness and cleanliness). Assisting patrons with circulation and finding materials. Copy, printing, also scan and send. All other duties as assigned by staff.

Description:

General office work to assist Admission and Recruitment staff.

Answering phones, assisting students and public at the counter, filing, updating information, opening and date stamping mail, stuffing envelopes, create academic folder for enrolled students. Various other duties as they arise.

Description:

Applicant will be assisting all Office of the Registrar staff in a variety of office procedures and responsibilities. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and must get along well with people. Answering phones, assisting students and the public at the front counter, filing, updating information, opening and date stamping mail, stuffing envelopes, creating academic folders for enrolled students and processing transcripts. Various other duties as they arise.
