Work Study Positions Available

Work-Study is a financial aid program that allows students to work on-campus or with approved off-campus employers to earn money to help pay for college. Work-Study is included in a student's financial aid package. For more information, contact Angelique Rodriguez, 505.747.2125.

Admissions & Recruitment - Office Assistant

Description:

General office work to assist Admission and Recruitment staff. Answering phones, assisting students and public at the counter, filing, updating information, opening and date stamping mail, stuffing envelopes, create academic folder for enrolled students. Various other duties as they arise.

Must be awarded FEDERAL Work study through Northern’s Financial Aid Office.

America Reads - Reading & Math Tutors

Job Title: Math & Reading Tutors (k-12 grade)

Description:

Providing tutoring and supervision of reading participants in afterschool program. Must assist mentoring program staff in providing reading services to youth ages 5 -13. Must be able to track and assist in keeping files of youth assisted and their progress. Must be willing to clean up their designated area of workplace. Must assist in ordering of or providing materials for reading participants.

Fine Arts - Event Assistant

Job Title: Event Assistant

Description & Duties:

Student will assist Department directors, faculty, and staff with creating and distributing publicity and brochures for department promotional materials, exhibits, and events. Occasional assisting art instructors with class set up of materials before and after classes.  Duties also may include assisting with gallery set up & take down for monthly exhibits, campus displays, and end of semester Showcases, as well as sitting in the gallery to keep exhibits open during regular hours. May also be required to assist in Fine Arts office with a variety of clerical assignments and preparation for the NCNMMEA Orchestra Competition. Skill Required: Good interpersonal skills, organizational and computer skills (Word, Publisher, Excel, Photoshop, Illustrator). Marketing and PR experience is a plus.

IT Department - IT Technician

Placement Testing Center - Placement Assistant

Assist with scheduling for students assist the Accessibility Director with large print publications for students and administering and scheduling. Maintain confidentiality and security of records handled. Working towards a degree in the Business filed and or Counseling field
