3 Days to Better Golf Essentials

LPGA golf teaching professional Holy Spelman will lead you through better golf essentials. Revisit or learn for the first time the basic techniques needed to enjoy golf as recreation and sport. Solidify the essentials of setup, grip, posture, and alignment. Increase your comfort with the game to better enjoy yourself on the course.

Introduction to Tai Chi
July 12-August 23 • Fridays • 10am-12pm

The Chinese art of Tai Chi is a moving meditation and whole body exercise for maintaining and building health of mind and body. This class will introduce the long-form Tai Chi set as taught by Master May Lin-Sin, with a focus on basic principles. No experience required. Also appropriate for those who have completed this course before and wish further practice. Instructor Chris Ng is certified by the non-profit American Tai Chi Academy with more than 30 years of teaching Tai Chi.

3 Days to a Better Short Game
July 17-19 or August 7-9 • Wed Thu Fri • 9-10am

If you are a golfer looking to lower your score by improving your short game, this class is for you. Let LPGA Teaching Professional Holly Spellman help develop your putting, chipping, and pitching techniques. Gain an understanding about which shot to use in various situations during a round. Learn how to properly execute the shot you need to greatly reduce your score and increase your enjoyment of the game. Clubs can be provided if necessary. These courses are designed to be repeated, so students can continue to improve their technique through practice and experience.

Horno Construction
July 26-28 • Fri 4-7pm • Sat 9am-4pm • Sun 10am-3pm

Learn how to build an adobe bread oven (horno). This class is an ideal introduction to sun-dried mud brick construction, mud mortar and mud plastering, the three basics needed for any adobe construction. In addition, one may also gain experience in small dome construction, which could lead to larger, more skilled adobe projects. Lunch provided Saturday and Sunday.
