Flamenco with La Emí
November 7 - December 14
Mondays & Wednesdays, 3:30pm-4:30pm
$150 1x/wk • $300 2x/wk

Students will learn technique and choreography of flamenco dance. La Emi directs EmiArteFlamenco Academy. She has taught at Moving Arts Española and in NM public schools. Companies she has danced with include Juan Siddi Flamenco Santa Fe, Compañia Chuscales y Mina Fajardo, and with the National Institute of Flamenco at the Lodge at Santa Fe.

Ballet for Teens & Adults
January 17 - May 11
Tuesdays & Thursdays, 4:00pm-5:15pm

Instructor Davis Hobdy • Ballet teaches strength, grace, and flexibility while increasing your balance using classical vocabulary. These classes provide an understanding of the fundamental principles of classical ballet technique which is basic to all dance forms. Supplies needed: ballet shoes, leotard & tights. For teens and adults, all genders.


There will be four 2 hr. evening meetings + one 3 hr. Saturday workshop. The final class is a planting & marketing workshop.Wth Instructor Sandra McCardell. These hybrid classes are onsite in Española + virtual/online.

Growing and marketing multiple crops from hemp
January 12 - February 4
Thursdasy 6-8pm, + Saturdays 9am-Noon

A practical introduction to growing hemp for crops such as seeds (food & oil), CBD, long & short fibers. Potential markets addressed. Topics: history of hemp, current regulations and licensing requirements, potential crops and seed selection, growing methods, harvesting, marketing.

Renewable plant-based building material: Hemp stalks
February 7 - March 11
Tuesdasy 6-8pm, + Saturdays 9am-Noon

Participants will be introduced to hemp stalks as a renewable building material, including its history, different types of products and techniques, models and examples. During the final workshop, participants will be able to build simple structures or make hemp-based products.
