Free Linemen Camp for Women & Men

Learn Linemen skills for FREE and prepare to be job-ready for expanding opportunities in the electrical distribution trades! 

July 18-29  •  8am - 4pm

Northern NM College Española Campus, Welding Center

  • Limited enrollment
  • Ages: 18+
  • Must be vaccinated/wear a mask
  • Open to anyone fit for this industry
  • Tools & materials provided, but students must wear suitable work boots and attire
  • Must commit to 2 weeks of training
  • Job placement assistance upon completion of training

The Northern New Mexico College Trades department and Continuing Education/Workforce Development program has partnered with the Regional Development Corporation to offer FREE Lineman Training Camp to prepare participants to be job-ready for expanding opportunities in the Electrical Distribution trades.

Linemen are critical to today’s Power generating industry, responsible for construction and maintenance of the Nations power grid. Through 80 hours of in-person training classes—including hands-on lab instruction—participants will learn basic lineman skills, become OSHA 10 for Construction certified and receive coaching to determine their pathway to a career in carpentry.

Additionally, trainees will be eligible to receive up to 4 college credits from the Northern New Mexico Branch Community College

NM Environmental Job Training Starts March 28

The New Mexico Environmental Job Training Program is a FREE five-week intensive training program that provides training, skills and certifications needed to become an Environmental Technician. Instruction is provided through Santa Fe Community College’s nationally-ranked EPA workforce development program.
