STUDENT SERVICES AQIP COMMITTEE CHARTER

ARTICLE I – PURPOSE

The support that Student Services Programs offer students is essential for their academic success therefore it is important that all programs under the Student Services realm perform at maximum levels.  The Student Services AQIP Committee is charged with instituting a climate of continuous improvement for all Student Services programs.

ARTICLE II – MEMBERS

One member is designated from each of the student service programs in addition to student and faculty representation.  Staff, faculty and students may be assigned to the committee on a temporary, ad hoc basis.

ARTICLE III – MEMBERSHIP APPOINTMENTS

The President of Northern New Mexico College shall appoint members to the Student Services AQIP Committee.  Terms of office shall be for two years.  Continued membership is at the pleasure of the President of the College.

ARTICLE IV – MEETINGS

The Students Services AQIP Committee will schedule regular meetings for the last Thursday of the each month.  Meetings will be no longer than two hours in duration and will be held in the Board Room.  Special meetings may be called by the chairperson as needed.

ARTICLE V – OFFICERS

The Chairperson shall be appointed by the President of NNMC.  The Vice–Chairperson and other officers shall be elected by the committee membership.  The Vice-chairperson shall serve in the absence of the Chairman.

ARTICLE VI - ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS

All members are expected to attend meetings of the Student Services AQIP Committee.  Members unable to attend meetings and have been excused will be included in communications via e-mail.  When a member is absent from two meetings without advance communication, the chairperson may consider recommendations for replacement of that member.
