Ms. Lori Franklin graduated from California State University in 1987 with a Bachelor’s degree in English and a Master’s degree in English Composition and in 1989. She has always loved teaching and has been fortunate to have opportunities to teach composition, public speaking, and literature courses at several different colleges: Yakima Valley Community College, New Mexico Highlands University, Bakersfield Community College, and Austin Community College.

Since 2003, Lori has been a full-time faculty member at Northern, teaching composition, literature, and speech courses, tutoring in the Writing Center, developing service learning projects, and developing curriculum to implement co-requisite courses to support developmental students. Lori has served as department chair of Language and Letters since 2008 and appreciates the opportunity to support students, faculty, and departmental programs.
