What is Welding Technology @Northern?
Northern’s Welding program provides students with comprehensive hands-on training
in welding and metal fabrication techniques. This program is designed to prepare students
for entry-level positions in the welding industry through practical instruction in
a variety of welding processes, thermal cutting, fabrication, and print reading. Students
gain real-world experience working with industry-standard tools, equipment, and safety
practices.
Students can earn a Certificate in Welding Technology — providing the foundational
skills needed to begin a career in welding or pursue further training in the field.
