Northern’s Bachelor of Information Engineering Technology (IET) prepares students for a career in the design, development, installation, maintenance, and repair of computing technologies. Graduates are ready for high-demand and high,-paying jobs in the computer networks, computer programming, database, mobile applications and security sectors.

  • Our practice oriented and hands-on approach enables students to gain the real-life skills sought by employers.
  • Students receive hardware, software development, troubleshooting, and maintenance training, enabling them to work in a variety of fields upon graduation.
  • Graduates will also be versed in physics, mathematics, computer science, and business fundamentals, giving them the foundation for graduate studies in computer science

Degrees Offered in Information Engineering Technology

AEng - Associate in Information Engineering Technology: provides a solid two-year foundation in computer systems and network technology. The program focuses on practical skills for designing, troubleshooting, and securing IT systems. Graduates are ready for entry-level positions like network technicians and IT support specialists, and the degree serves as a pathway to further education in the field.

BEng - Bachelor in Information Engineering Technology, a four-year ABET-accredited program: offers advanced training in computer systems and networks. Students gain in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience, preparing for roles such as network administrators, systems analysts, and cybersecurity specialists.
