Business Administration (AABA)

Our ACBSP-accredited Associate of Arts in Business Administration (AABA) is a terminal degree for those graduates who intend to enter the workplace with a sound fundamental knowledge of economics and accounting, and who have mastered basic skills in business technology, marketing, and management. The AABA can also serve as preparatory training for seamless transfer to one of our baccalaureate (BBA) majors in two additional years of full-time study.

Associate of Arts in Business Administration (AABA): The AABA in Business Administration is an ACBSP-accredited terminal degree graduates who intend to enter the workplace with a fundamental knowledge of economics, accounting, management, business technology, and marketing. This program is designed for students who intend to pursue a business career at the technical level. 

All courses toward the AABA and BBA are delivered online via the Blackboard platform.  All 3 credit business courses are offered in an eight-week format, so it is possible to take three – three credit courses during the 1st 8-weeks and three-three credit hour courses the 2nd 8-weeks for a total of 18 credits in one semester. Students taking 18 credits per semester may complete their AABA in 16 months.

The AABA is a also a transfer degree program which can lead seamlessly to a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (BBA) in one of our majors: Management, Accounting or Project Management in two additional years of full-time study

The Department of Business Administration's bachelor's programs have been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP, www.acbsp.org) on July 15, 2015. Northern's Associate level Business programs have been accredited by ACBSP since 1995.
