The CFA Gallery is a creative space in the Nick Salazar Center for the Arts, showcasing student, faculty, and community submissions alongside national and international artists' work. The gallery provides a platform for creative expression and cultural exchange, and invites the college and greater community to engage with diverse perspectives and experiences. From exhibitions to interactive classroom sessions, our gallery is a hub for diverse artistic expression.

Nick Salazar Center for the Arts is a hidden gem nestled within the heart of Northern New Mexico College. Boasting the CFA gallery and state-of-the-art theater, our center is revered by performers as one of the best stages in New Mexico. Whether you're a student, artist, or art enthusiast, there's always something inspiring happening at the Center for the Arts.

Highlights of our center includes breathtaking murals by the renowned artist Frederico Vigil, adding an extra layer of cultural richness to our space. From lectures and concerts to cultural performances and graduations, The Center for the Arts hosts a diverse array of events, many of which are organized and produced by our talented students.

Step into our theater, where modern amenities merge seamlessly with intimate ambiance, offering 300+ seating and impeccable acoustics. Our theater isn't just a venue; it's a vibrant community space and a learning environment. Within its walls, you'll find studio classrooms equipped with digital media editing labs, a darkroom, and painting and drawing studio.

In our Art and Media program, students gain hands-on experience with professional-grade equipment, from sound mixing boards to lighting plots, honing their skills and producing exceptional shows and videos. Meanwhile, our dedicated faculty members are seamlessly integrated into the daily rhythm of the center, offering guidance and inspiration to students as they pursue their artistic passions.
