As a special Innovative Practice mini-grant, the Northern Foundation Community Fund provided a $500 scholarship to James Annon, a student in the first cohort of Northern's new Self-design degree program.
Mr. Annon, a father of two, is taking the opportunity to return to college, and use credits already earned as part of his self-designed Psychology degree program.
"Having just experienced a personal loss, I wanted to focus on what's important, on making people's lives better," said Annon. "And I want to learn the skills to do it right. I'm impressed with the people at Northern and very happy to be here. Out of tragedy, comes change."
The Self-design degree option is one of five emphases in our Bachelor's of Integrated Studies program. Learn more from Dr. David Barton at 505.747.2217.
Special thank you to all of our donors who provide scholarships for Northern students.
