NNMC President to Give 3rd Quarterly State of the College Address

Northern New Mexico College President, Dr. Richard J. Bailey Jr., cordially invites College and community members to his third quarterly State of the College Address on Wednesday, June 28 at 4 pm at the Española campus, and at 6:30 pm at the El Rito campus.

The purpose of the address is to notify the community about the latest happenings at the College and outline the steps currently being pursued to move Northern forward.

During his address, Dr. Bailey will discuss the challenges presented to higher education due to the state budget cuts, and outline the measures taken by the College to minimize the effects of the cuts on students and instruction.

He will also address the state audit and the College’s roadmap to comprehensive improvements based on the audit office’s recommendations.

Additionally, the President will present an update on the ongoing efforts to revitalize the El Rito campus through a series of innovative initiatives.

Dr. Bailey will also discuss the College’s strategic plan, its objectives and its implementation process.

The State of the College Address is free and open to all members of the public and the press.
