NNMC Board of Regents approves to extend Spring Break and Semester
Tuesday, March 17, 2020

Dear Northern Students, Faculty, and Staff,This morning, the NNMC Board of Regents voted to officially extend Spring Break until Sunday, April 5, and to extend the Spring 2020 semester until Friday, May 29. 2020.

ALL courses, regardless of type, will be on extended Spring Break, and will not resume until Monday, April 6, 2020. Any short term course that was originally scheduled to start on March 23, will start on April 6, 2020.

When instruction resumes, we have Higher Learning Commission approval for ALL courses to be delivered remotely. Some courses will be asynchronous (not real-time) using Blackboard and others will be synchronous (real-time) through Zoom.

During the Spring Break, you will receive communications through email and the website on what technology your course will use.

We ask faculty and staff to stay in contact with their supervisors, and for students to stay in contact with their professors.

Please continue to monitor your NNMC email and Northern's Website.

Answers to frequently asked questions can be found on our FAQ page on our website. Students with specific concerns or needs can contact Don Appiarius, Assistant Provost, at don.appiarius@nnmc.edu.
