CEO, The Family YMCA writes to Leanne Salazar Montoya, Director, Northern Rio Grande STEM Collaborative:

Dear Ms. Salazar Montoya:

On behalf of The Family YMCA and our Espanola YMCA Teen Center, please accept our deepest gratitude for your sponsorship, partnership and collaboration on the 2017 Rocketry Camp.

Thirty-three children ages 8-16 had a spectacular time engaged in stimulating, thoughtful, creative activities involving math, engineering, design, and even art with caring adult leaders.

As the African proverb goes, "It takes a village to raise a child",such is the case in our work, our mission, and our cause at EYTC. We firmly believe our success of supporting children and being a resource to children and parents, stems from partnerships, collaborations and relationships forged. That, and having passionate, caring adults who care about children, particularly those who are underrepresented and under served.

Please extend our thanks to your instructors as well. I hope we will be able to collaborate once again in the future. — Linda Daly

Student writes to Dr. Vilá, Dean, College of Education:

Dr. Villa, you have been wonderful through this entire process. I can’t thank you enough for the kindness and support while I thrive through this last semester of my degree.

I am thrilled that I have had mentors like you at my college to help me finish off my degree strong. I am grateful for the confidence you have in my abilities to take on this position and I only hope to make you and the rest of my program proud to transition me towards my next step to becoming an educator. — Rebecca

Student response to Jacob Pacheco, Director, Financial Aid:

Thank you for all of your hard work. All of you have been wonderful! I never had an experience with any college like this one. — Michelle

Student response to Theresa Lopez, Director, Associate Degree Nursing Program:

First let me start by thanking you for the update, as promised.  Secondly I speak not only for myself but for my "cohorts" when I say we are overwhelmed, appreciative and somewhat shocked at the amount of support and effort you ALL are putting in to get us back on course. The last few weeks has been especially hard on us with one slammed door after another.  You and your team have been tremendous and we will never be able to express our thanks to you.

The updates all seem very positive and in the right direction.  We look forward to getting started and are all committed to being the best nursing students we can possible be.

Again, thank you so much for the update and more importantly for the effort you are all placing in us and our educations!  I look forward to hearing from you next week. — Melody

Student response to Frank Orona, Director, Admissions:

I just wanted to write a quick note to let you know that I think it’s pretty awesome that Northern College is providing support to the community veterans. My family has many veterans and my daughter who is a senior in high school is exploring the possibility of joining the military. Having these programs available is a great asset to our current and future veterans. — Shelley

Student response to Dr. Ahmed, Assistant Professor, Engineering:

Thank you for your wonderful advisement for my educational future. I am so happy to have met with you, and as I said, I really enjoyed your lecture at the Networking Class.  Again, Thank you.— Julio
