This one-semester program prepares students for entry level employment in the healthcare field as a Nurse Aide. Upon successful completion of this program, you will meet all federal certification standards for a nurse aide and be prepared to sit for the New Mexico Nurse Aide certification exams.
Nurse Aides, sometimes called nursing assistants, provide basic care for patients/residents in hospitals and long-term care facilities, such as nursing homes. Class credits apply toward an Associate of Applied Science in Allied Health should you wish to continue your studies.

Our Electric Certificate of Technical Trades (Electrical Technology) will begin in Spring 2024.
