Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

If the Ben Lujan Library doesn't have the resource you need, don't worry! We can borrow it from another library.

Interlibrary loan (ILL) allows Northern students, faculty and staff to borrow materials from libraries in our lending network. This means that in addition to the resources we own, you have access to those from hundreds of other libraries as well!

To be eligible for ILL, you must be currently enrolled or employed at NNMC. Library staff will request to borrow items from other libraries on your behalf. There is a limit of 10 ILL requests per patron, per day. You will be notified via phone or email when your item is ready to be picked up. All ILL items must be picked up from, and returned to, the main library service desk.

Interlibrary loans can take up to 2 weeks to arrive. All ILL materials are subject to the lending library's policies.

Renewal requests must be made at least two (2) days prior to the due date.

See our Interlibrary Loan Policy for more details. Thanks for using the ILL service at Northern's Ben Lujan Library. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our library in good standing with other libraries in our lending network.
