EXCEL STEM Pre-Freshman Summer Residential Institute

EXCEL STEM Pre-Freshman Summer Residential Institute:
July 13, 2015-July 24, 2015 at Northern's El Rito Campus

NRGSTEMLogoThe EXCEL Institute will be free of charge to entering freshman interested in STEM fields. The EXCEL Institute is open to entering freshman from Northern New Mexico College as well as Santa Fe Community College, UNM Taos, and UNM Los Alamos.

Students will reside for two weeks at Northern's El Rito campus to attend all Institute activities. The program will provide educational opportunities to earn credit in math and writing, allowing students to get a head start on their college education. Successful completion will also count toward one credit of the NNMC First Year Experience course. Activities will be provided to enhance knowledge of STEM careers and skills needed for success in them. Residency at El Rito dormitories is required for the duration of the Program.
