EngworkshopThe Department of Engineering hosted the "Computational Thinking for NM Schools" Workshop

The Department of Engineering at NNMC recently developed two-day workshops on Computational Thinking during June 28 and June 29, 2013 (https://sites.google.com/a/nnmc.edu/ctnms/).

The workshops were attended by elementary, middle and high school teachers from the Espanola Valley. The goal of the workshops was to develop a Computational Thinking curriculum where computer science ideas can be incorporated into school curriculum.

The workshop was sponsored by Google and organized by Dr. Perez. Participants enjoyed computer science sessions where full-time faculty members of the Department of Engineering, Ivan Lopez, Raul Peralta, Jorge Crichigno, and Alfredo Perez, presented pedagogical hands-on material.
