The Men and Lady Eagles ended a record-breaking season this weekend with some of the best played games in Northern history during the 2015 AII Conference Tournament.
Eight teams from the Association of Independent Institutions came through Española for a series of events and games to determine which team would proceed to the NAIA National Tournament in March.
Northern and the AII Conference Tournament teams joined the Española Valley Boys and Girls Club and the YMCA in learning about good sportsmanship during the Champions of Character event Thursday afternoon. Teams, families and fans gathered for a banquet in the evening to honor the teams and players. The following received awards:

The Lady Eagles defeated Indiana Northwest University 76-73 during the 2nd women's semifinal Friday night but fell to Ashford University 62-65 during Saturday's championship game.
The Men beat Fisher College 84-78 during Friday's semifinal but were also defeated by Ashford Saturday 87-92 during a nail-biting triple overtime game.
Go Eagles, we are proud of you!
