ADJUNCT INSTRUCTORS in PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Northern New Mexico College (NNMC) is a public two-year and four-year degree granting institution founded in 1909 by the New Mexico Constitution.  NNMC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.  NNMC operates from two campuses in Espanola and El Rito and serves an average of 1,000 students per semester.  Applications are invited for adjuncts to teach Physical Education courses in Fall 2022.

 JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teach Physical Education Courses in-person in Espanola on-campus (A one-hour credit physical education course requires one hour and forty minutes of contact time per week).
  • Physical Education courses can be found in the catalog https://nnmc.edu/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/NNMC-Academic-Catalog-2021-2022.pdf on pages 234-235 and include conditioning, resistance training, and basketball.
  • Organize syllabi with student learning outcomes and clear grading policies.
  • Submit midterm and final grades for courses.
  • Instruct courses safely.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Relevant degrees in physical education or related field, experience teaching physical education courses, or certifications

 SALARY: Salary for a one-credit hour physical education course is $1004 (with Bachelors), $1076 (with Masters), $1149 (with PhD)
