American Indian Student Organization (AISO)

AISO 2013

AISO is an active student club whose mission is to increase representation of the American Indian student population on Northern's campus.

AISO works to enhance the support of the American Indian student’s educational experiences through culturally relevant activities that foster unity and perpetuate individual tribal traditions and customs. We operate out of the American Indian Center (AD 255) at Northern and invite all students who want to participate in our club activities to join.

The American Indian Center also offers computers, student services, and a knowledgeable staff that are willing to help. We encourage students to utilize these services available to them. There are also opportunities to learn about American Indian culture, meet new fellow students and have fun participating in different activities on and off campus.

Choose us for our value, our quality degree and continuing education programs in diverse areas of study, our experienced faculty, and NORTHERN provides students with unique opportunities for academic, personal and professional growth. “You will have personalized attention, something difficult to get at larger colleges. We provide strong hands-on experiences from day one.” –Dr. Ivan Lopez, Dean, College of Engineering & Technology
The Northern Foundation remains committed to stimulate leadership, promote equity, and grow resources and philanthropy in the Española Valley and surrounding rural areas. Over the past twenty years, we have granted $1.3 million to support over 1,250 NNMC students.
