Full-Time Staff Accountant
Primary responsibility is to provide financial management for wide range of federal, state, and local grants. Position is responsible for working on general ledger, ensuring that ledger is balanced at all times. Also responsible for journal entries, monthly bank and other reconciliations, interfaces and other duties as assigned. Position will ensure that all relevant end-of-month reports are completed on a timely basis. Position will have all audit materials and reports ready for annual audit, as required by auditors. Must maintain current and practical awareness of state and federal agency regulations regarding fiscal matters and assure compliance as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field; minimum of 3 years experience in accounting. Must be fully computer literate.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Extensive experience providing financial management for wide range of federal, state, and local grants highly preferred. Experience in public sector and/or governmental accounting; knowledge of Oracle and SCT-Banner Administrative software, experience w/Higher Ed preferred.

Director of Northern Pueblos Institute
The Director of the Northern Pueblos Institute at NNMC has primary responsibility for planning, coordinating, executing and evaluating Northern Pueblos Institute activities including maintenance of the Pueblo Indian Studies A.A. Degree program and the B.A. Degree Program in Integrated Studies in the Humanities and Social Sciences with an emphasis in Pueblo Indian Studies.
The Director teaches a minimum of three courses per academic year for the Pueblo Indian Studies Degree programs. The Director conducts research, data collection, and curriculum design, in order to provide technical assistance to the Eight Northern Pueblos and their enrolled members.
Director develops community-based workshops and seminars in collaboration with the NPI Advisory Committee and works closely with the Governors of the Eight Northern Indian Pueblos Council, Inc. (ENIPC), and the NNMC Department of Humanities and Social Sciences in carrying out the other the Pueblo Indian Studies curriculum of the NPI.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree (PhD preferred) required, preferably in Pueblo Indian Studies or American Indian Studies. 3 years experience in organizational and community development; leadership and Public Relations skills required. Candidate must possess stellar written and oral communication skills and successful grant-writing, proposal-writing, and computer skills.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Prior work experience with pueblo communities; working knowledge of Indigenous Language Certification requirements; experience managing and expanding undergraduate curriculum from AA degree to BA degree.

Dean of Workforce Development
Workforce development at Northern New Mexico College includes: noncredit and credit professional courses and certificate programs in such diverse fields as engineering, business, environmental and food sciences, and information technology; as well as additional workforce training programs developed in response to business, industry and community needs. Workforce development programs are delivered in a flexible and convenient manner that meets the needs of employers, workers and the job-seeking community.
Position Responsibilities:
The Dean of Workforce Development will:
- Maintain knowledge of local and national models of delivery, approach and training content in order to incorporate the most up-to-date findings into academic programs and services that address workforce development.
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree (Ph.D. preferred) plus five (5) years of workforce education work experience. Successful candidates will have an understanding of workforce development services and activities; grant project management; course schedule development and budget development and prior supervisory experience. The individual must possess excellent communication skills and provide a proven track record in working with business, program and/or economic development. The position will require experience in the effective use of appropriate technology in performance of the listed responsibilities and accountabilities. The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to educational quality and professional development.

Business Administration- Administrative Assistant II
This full-time staff position will perform a wide range of administrative and office-related functions and activities requiring judgment in resolving issues and/or making recommendations. The position will generate a variety of correspondence; distribute messages and actions in various formats utilizing established or self-developed databases and/or systems. This Administrative Assistant will coordinate logistics, scheduling, travel, faculty calendars and meetings. Will maintain electronic/ hardcopy files and act as a resource as necessary to faculty and/or staff for established administrative processes, procedures, and guidelines.

Part-Time Head Athletic Trainer
Functions as liaison between physician, coaches, parents, student-athletes and administration.
Arranges & assists w/athletic-related physical exams, administers emergency care; develops & implements rehabilitation programs for injured student-athletes. Designs, develops and supervises conditioning/rehab programs. Accompanies athletic teams to all contests; serves as host athletic trainer for visiting teams; and attends home athletic events when scheduled. Maintains and operates the athletic training room. Maintains detailed student-athlete health records. Prepares and oversees budget for medical and athletic training supplies and equipment. Educates student athletes about generally accepted health and safety knowledge.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree in a Health Science Field. Nat’l Athletic Trainers Assoc. Certification, 2 yrs athletic training experience. 6 month part time contract Beginning Sept, 1 2010.

Part Time Instructor
High School Equivalency Program (HEP)
Individual will be responsible for teaching all five subject areas of the GED test preparation. Must posses knowledge of assessment and evaluation of student learning: planning and implementation of instruction: classroom management: content knowledge; and experience with individualized instruction. Applicant will participate and/or assist with retention efforts.
Position will be at the El Rito Campus.
Minimum requirements: Master’s degree in Education or Agricultural/ Environmental Science or related fields. Experience working with students from diverse social, economic, ethnic, academic and cultural backgrounds required. Ability to teach in both Spanish and English is required. Must possess highly developed problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills: Must have work experience and an understanding of migrant and seasonal farm worker population. Knowledge of agriculture in general and must adhere to cultural sensitivity.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree required in the specific discipline. Exception will be if the individual has 18 semester hours of graduate course work in the discipline. Vocational courses require either a certificate or licensure in the specific vocation.
Salary: Part-time instructors are paid on the per credit hour basis. The credit hour rate depends on the educational level of the individual. Example: Master’s degree teaching one three credit hour theory course will be paid $1,939.26 per semester ($646.42 per credit hour); Bachelor’s degree teaching one three credit hour theory course will be paid $1,809.50 per semester, etc. Classes usually meet two or three times per week for total time of one hour and a half. Lab classes may meet for a longer period. (Note: The rate is higher for Instructors with MA and Ph.D. degrees teaching upper division courses.)
Effective Date: As positions become available throughout the academic year including the summer semester. Fall semester is from mid August to mid December. Spring semester is from mid January to mid May. Summer semester is usually from early June to end of July.
