Education AQIP Committee

Through the use of quality improvement strategies and tools, the Education AQIP Committee (EAC) is responsible for planning, implementing, assessing, and revising the teacher education programs of the Department of Education of Northern New Mexico College in order to continuously improve those programs.

All full-time faculty and staff persons of the Department of Education are regular committee members. Faculty, staff, and administrators of other departments, units, and offices may be assigned to the committee on a temporary, ad hoc basis. Part-time instructors in the department may participate in EAC meetings and activities in a non-voting capacity.

Regular meetings of the EAC take place once a month for up to two hours in the JCI building. Special meetings are called as needed as determined by the group. Once each semester, a regular EAC meeting is scheduled to coincide with a regular meeting of the Professional Teacher Education Advisory Committee. Decisions are made by consensus and a majority vote if needed. The Education Dean serves as Chairperson. Meeting minutes are drafted, approved by the Committee, and archived below.

An up-to-date list of workloads, team and committee assignments, and office hours for all EAC members is available here.
