Nestled in the heart of northern New Mexico and surrounded by the 1.5 million acre Carson National Forest, the El Rito Corporate Retreat Center offers a plethora of year-round excursions:

World Class Fly-Fishing to Art Tours
•Only minutes from the Retreat Center, guests can experience rock climbing, backpacking and hiking trips through breathtaking mountainous terrain in the Carson Forest.
•World-class Fly-fishing and fly-tying trips are available at nearby lakes.
•Tours to Sapewi (El Rito Tiwa Pueblo), trips to local galleries and artists homes, and visits to local churches and capillas – including El Rito’s own catholic church built in 1838.
•Walks near the Retreat Center are perfect for seeking and identifying natural herbs used in remedies and cooking.
•On-site, prepare delicious and unique home cooked “horno” (adobe oven) foods, featuring homemade bread and pies.
•From Thanksgiving to early spring, Northern New Mexico becomes a haven for cross-country skiing. Many of the country’s most popular ski areas are about an hour’s drive from El Rito.

Within a 60-mile radius of the El Rito CRC is both Santa Fe and Taos, both meccas for art and culture; Santuario de Chimayo, one of the world’s most famous pilgrimage stops; Native American Pueblos, including San Juan and Santa Clara.

Evenings at the El Rito CRC can include evenings at the El Rito Corporate Retreat Center and outlying area, bustling with activities, including:  cultural musicals and Spanish films at the campus’ historic Cutting Hall, star gazing from an on-site astronomy dome and yoga classes for fitness enthusiasts. Nearby Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs offers a sunset admission and Braford Ranch in La Madera is available for evening tours.
Finally, a traditional Southwestern evening meal of world famous regional chile, beans and homemade chicos (oven baked corn) bring to a close a full day of exciting events at the El Rito CRC.
